Introduction
iSG Fusion uses a new architecture with the LinknLink APP frontend + Termux backend. The hardware remains unchanged; only the software is upgraded.
This guide covers iSG Display Max and iSG Box SE owners upgrading to iSG Fusion.
Building on the original iSG stack (Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, and Z-Wave JS UI), it adds LinkHub (multi-protocol super gateway), Matter Bridge, and an AI Agent, along with improved version management and updates.
Existing iSG users get better stability and intelligence — a next-generation all-in-one smart home gateway for the AI era, suitable for beginners and advanced enthusiasts.

Upgrading to iSG Fusion
Important: Back up before installation.
Back up each service inside that service, and save the files to a computer or USB drive. After the upgrade, restore inside the corresponding service as well.
Services to back up:
- Home Assistant — create and download a backup inside HA
- Zigbee2MQTT — download a data backup inside Z2M
- Z-Wave JS UI — back up the Store, and also back up the controller NVM
Back up Home Assistant
- Open Home Assistant and go to Settings → System → Backups.
- Select Backup now → Manual backup, then create a full backup.
- Download the backup file to a computer or USB drive.
- Download and safely store the backup emergency kit / encryption key — without it, restore is impossible.

Back up Zigbee2MQTT
- Open the Zigbee2MQTT frontend.
- Go to Settings → Tools.
- Choose Request Z2M backup / Download data folder backup and download the ZIP.
- Save the ZIP to a computer or USB drive. It includes
database.db,configuration, and other critical data.
Official coordinator backup/migration is supported only for zstack and ember adapters. You can also trigger a backup by publishing an empty MQTT message to zigbee2mqtt/bridge/request/backup.

Back up Z-Wave JS UI
- Open Z-Wave JS UI.
- Open the Store page, use Backup, and download the Store ZIP containing settings, nodes, and related data.
- Also back up the controller NVM: Control Panel → Advanced Actions → NVM Management → Backup.
- Save the files to a computer or USB drive.

Download installers to a USB drive
Download the LinknLink ISG App and Termux to a USB drive:
Install the ISG App and Termux
Install the ISG App first, then Termux. The installation flow is the same for both apps; the steps below use Termux as the example.
Step 1
Insert the USB drive, then press and hold the power button marked ② for about 2 seconds until the screen shown below appears.

Tap Settings.
Step 3
Open the Storage directory.
Step 4
Open Document & Other.
Step 5
Select the disk and find the two files you downloaded earlier. Install the ISG App first, then Termux.
Step 6
Double-tap the Termux app to start installation, and follow the sequence shown in the images below.
Step 7
Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm permissions and installation steps.
Step 8
Continue following the prompts to finish installation.
Step 9
Tap the Home button shown below to return to the home screen.
Step 10
You may see “ISG initialization in progress.” Please wait about 20 to 50 minutes.
Step 11
When the screen shown below appears, Termux has been installed successfully. Tap Confirm to return to the ISG App home screen — the upgrade is complete.
