Part 1. Overview

2. Indicator Light Status

Status Indication
Flashes intermittently (flashes 4 times and pause a while) Device is in setup mode and waiting to be added
Flashes slowly then off Device is being set up and added to network
Flashes slowly continuously Device failed to connect to network or disconnected from network
Flash once IR signal is sent

Part 2. Preparations

1. Prepare Setup

Power on the eRemote using a 5V USB adapter. If you want to use the IR devices in Home Assistant (HA), add the MQTT integration to your HA and configure it to be ready for connections.

[Important] The eRemote and HA instance must be connected to the same LAN.

2. Download App And Sign In

Connect your smartphone to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Download the latest LinknLink app from the App Store or Google Play, or scan the QR code to download and install it. Open the LinknLink app, select a server from the top-right corner and sign in, or create an account if you do not have one.

Part 3. Add eRemote To App

1. Start To Add

Power on the eRemote, making sure the indicator light is flashing intermittently in blue. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth service, click the + in the top-right corner, then choose Add device > Add a new device > eSeries Hubs & Sensors > eRemote. The app will automatically scan for nearby eRemote devices, which may take up to 10 seconds.

2. Set Up Device To Wi-Fi

Select your home Wi-Fi network, enter the password and click Connect now. The LED indicator will flash more slowly and then turn off. The device is successfully connected. Choose a room and name the device.

Part 4. Add IR Device To eRemote

1. Add With Auto Matching

Click the + icon in the top-right corner and select an appliance type, such as TV. To control your IR device using both the app and HA, select Add for HA. Follow the wizard to select the brand, test the IR options, and save your settings. You can then control the device from your phone.

2. Add With Manual Learning

If no IR options match the selected brand, click Learn Remote Now to create a blank template. Assign a room and rename the device to continue, then click Use Device Now. Click the grey buttons and follow the wizard to manually learn the IR code using your physical remote.

Part 5. Sync IR Device To HA

1. Configure MQTT For HA

Return to the eRemote HA device page. Click the ... icon in the top-right corner, then select MQTT Connection. Enter the required information based on your MQTT server settings and click Save. Reopen MQTT Connection to verify that the status shows Connected.

2. Control IR Device In HA

Once MQTT is connected, the added IR device will automatically appear in your HA, with the available buttons synced and ready for use. You can now use the IR device in HA for complete local automations.

Part 6. Alexa Google Voice Control

If you are already logged into the Alexa or Google Home app, you can now directly link to the LinknLink skill. On the app homepage, click the + in the top-right corner and select Add Voice Assistant. Select Alexa or Google Home, then click Link Now.

You will be redirected to the Alexa / Google Home app and click Link to complete this process. After successfully discovering the device, you will be able to control the device through the Alexa / Google Home app or speaker.
