Průvodce protokolem eMotion Pro a Ultra Communication

Problem

An eMotion Pro or eMotion Ultra device cannot connect through the communication path you selected, or the expected protocol menu is not available.

Cause

  • Protocol menus depend on the exact model and firmware version.
  • LAN-based communication requires the device and client to be reachable on the same local network.
  • MQTT requires the current firmware to expose MQTT Connection and requires the broker settings to be entered correctly.
  • Voice assistant discovery requires the account link and device discovery steps to be completed.

Solution

1. Check the model and available menus

  1. Open the eMotion device in LinknLink App.
  2. Confirm the device model and firmware version on the device information page.
  3. Use only the protocol menu shown for that device. Do not assume that a menu documented for another model is supported.

2. Use LinknLink App

Use LinknLink App for device setup, connection, status, supported settings, room assignment, and device naming. Keep the phone and device close during setup and confirm the device network state in the app.

3. Configure Modbus TCP when the menu is available

  1. Make sure the eMotion device and the Modbus client are on the same local network.
  2. Open the device page, select the ... menu, and choose Modbus.
  3. Use the IP address and register information shown by the device instead of a register map from another model or firmware.
  4. Start with a read-only query and confirm that the values change when the device state changes.

4. Configure MQTT when the menu is available

  1. Open the MQTT settings in LinknLink App.
  2. Enter the broker address, port, username, and password configured on the MQTT broker.
  3. Save the settings and reopen MQTT Connection.
  4. Continue only when the status shows Connected, then check Home Assistant for the device entities.

5. Link Alexa or Google Home when required

  1. In LinknLink App, select + and choose Add Voice Assistant.
  2. Select Alexa or Google Home and tap Link Now.
  3. Complete the link in the voice assistant app and run device discovery.

Troubleshooting

The device is offline in LinknLink App

Check power, the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, router access, and the device LED state. Reopen the app and check the device status again before repeating setup.

Modbus TCP cannot connect

Confirm the IP address, local-network reachability, firewall rules, and the register information shown in the device's Modbus page. Do not test through a network that blocks device-to-device traffic.

Home Assistant does not receive MQTT entities

Verify the broker address, port, credentials, and app connection status. Confirm that the MQTT broker is running and that Home Assistant can connect to it. If the MQTT menu is absent, check the exact model and firmware before continuing.

Alexa or Google Home cannot discover the device

Confirm that the account link is complete, the device has a clear name, and discovery has been run again in the voice assistant app.

Notes

  • Communication support must be confirmed against the exact model and firmware.
  • Do not copy protocol settings, credentials, or register information from another product.
  • Keep MQTT credentials private.
